Youth Camps

This was the perfect place for my daughter to spend her summer! She had a great time with all the other kids and was always thrilled to tell me how many fish she caught. The field trips were all at great places and the kids always seemed to learn so much.
We will definitely be back next year!

IGFA offers spring and summer week-long camp adventures for children ages 8 - 13. Campers spend time in the museum where they learn about fishing techniques, conservation, marine biology, tying flies & jigs, and participate in simulated fishing tournaments. Field trips take the campers on a variety of fresh and salt water adventures: drift boat, pier and shore fishing, encounters with alligators, manatees, whales, dolphins and much more.

Camps give children the opportunity to have fun while being educated on local habitats and ethical practices. During the week-long experience, campers will discover the importance of the different fresh and salt water habitats for sport fishing. Conserving these habitats is essential for future recreation and livelihoods associated with fishing. For children to grasp the important concept of conservation, it is essential that hands-on experiences are conducted to reinforce these issues. Young people are the key to this success.

Participants will receive a T-shirt and a Junior Angler Publication. Before/after care is available, aftercare is $10/hour. Pre-registration is required. The minimum number of Spring Campers is 10 per day. For Summer Camp there is a minimum of 20 and a maximum of 45 campers, so reserve your spot today!
