WHY GO FISHING AROUND TO PLAN YOUR NEXT BIRTHDAY PARTY?

Birthdays are to celebrate the coming of a new age and another year to come. At IGFA, a birthday party is that and more!

New from IGFA!

If the junior angler in your family wants to have a “reel” good time, IGFA will “hook” you up! Clowns are funny, ponies are cute, but IGFA will bring fun and educational activities to your party!  Choose one of the following options for your unique party:

BACKYARD FISHING- IGFA will come to your fishing party at your house, a local park or wherever you will be fishing! An IGFA staff member will teach the partiers basic fishing techniques to get the party started. Party goers will learn about the equipment they will be using, ethical angling, safety and how to tie a fishing knot. This option is for children turning 7-13 years old. Party givers provide their own tackle and bait. Actual fishing is not included.

FISHING FRENZY- If you are looking for some fun fishing activities without geting slimy, IGFA will come to your party! Partiers will enjoy casting into a school of freshwater or saltwater fish (magnetized), reeling them in and identifying them. Afterwards, they will transform themselves into triggerfish to eat their favorite prey - sea urchins! This option is for children turning 3-13 years old.

GET GEARED UP TO GO FISHING- IGFA will bring fun activities and hysterical photo moments to your party! Partiers will enjoy a relay style race donning on fishing gear - get your cameras ready! Afterwards they will become ichthyologists and create their own sharks.

For Broward County residents the cost is $200, for Palm Beach & Miami-Dade residents the cost is $250. Prices include an IGFA instructor for an hour, a birthday bag for the birthday child and fishing activity books for all participants. Services are available Saturdays and Sundays 10 am - 6 pm; other days and times are available upon request.

Catch The Fun at the International Fishing Hall of Fame

While celebrating a birthday at the Intrnational Fishing Hall of Fame, children will either learn the safety of fishing and practice catch and release while trying to catch a fish themselves; or they will learn the importance of wetlands, especially the Everglades, and while walking through the wetlands they will identify birds, reptiles, fish, insects and plants. Parties teach children conservation either through fishing or environmental biology. They will also get hooked on our interactive galleries, fishing simulators, and marina.

Parties are on Saturdays and Sundays** 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Learning Center. Parties are available for children ages 3- 13. The cost for the party is $350, and includes everything for up to 15 guests (birthday child and parents are not included in number of guests). The cost for each additional guest is $15. The maximum number of guest for one party is 30. Guests include adults and children over 2years of age.

*Fishing parties are only available for children turning 7 - 13 years of age.

**Parties are available during the week upon request.

For all parties, a non-refundable $150 deposit is required when reservations are made. Reservations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to party date.
