Expedition Series
The International Game Fish Association was
born from the spirit of adventure.
IGFA’s founder Michael Lerner spanned the
globe in search of great fishing and great knowledge. Lerner was joined in his
quest by the likes of Ernest Hemingway, Kip Farrington, Alfred C. Glassell Jr.
and Tommy Gifford. These early years of exploration were considered the golden
years of fishing, exploration and science.
Today, the golden years are back with the
IGFA Expedition Series. The IGFA Expedition Series is your opportunity to fish
together with some of today’s legends of the sport and explore some of the
richest fishing locations in the world. The 2010 Expedition Series includes
fishing the world-famous Pacific sailfish run at Casa Vieja Lodge in Guatemala
and fishing for the mighty blue marlin and majestic black marlin at Tropic Star
Lodge, Panama.
Only the International Game Fish
Association can bring together legends of the sport and world-class fishing
destinations to produce fishing adventures of a lifetime. Now in its third year,
the IGFA Expedition Series offers the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fish
with and enjoy the camaraderie of modern legends including: marine artist and
conservationist Dr. Guy Harvey, fishing celebrity Mark Sosin, IGFA World Record
holders Enrico Capozzi, Gary Carter and Raleigh Werking, Captains Karl Anderson,
Thomas "Bark" Garnsey and Ron Hamlin
and other living legends of sportfishing. To find out more about each Expedition
