2016 IGFA Conservation Award - Dr. Eric Prince

Dr. Eric Prince has had an illustrious 35-year career as a billfish biologist with the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) and has authored more than 85 peer-reviewed publications-- nearly half focusing on billfish.  He leads the agency's  Atlantic billfish research activities, including development and implementation of the Atlantic Billfish Research Plan and coordination of the ICCAT Enhanced Research Program for Billfish. In short, Prince has been the voice for better billfish science and management in the Atlantic for over three decades.
