Marketing Coordinator

Description: The International Game Fish Association (IGFA) is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our marketing team. This role is essential for managing and monitoring various marketing campaigns and ongoing initiatives. You will coordinate efforts across departments, manage project schedules, and analyze campaigns through social media, email, and direct mail. Additionally, you'll source content for IGFA media and assist staff to develop digital and print assets for campaigns and events that align with IGFA’s mission.

Supervisor: Director of Marketing

Description of Responsibilities:

Daily Tasks:

  • Assist with administrative duties in marketing.
  • Schedule social media content.
  • Develop and edit photo and video assets.
  • Make WordPress website edits.
  • Support membership and development campaigns.

Content Creation and Management:

  • Help create written, video, and photo content for IGFA’s marketing channels.
  • Schedule and publish content across various channels, including the website, email, SMS, and social media.
  • Maintain an organized digital asset library.

Social Platform Monitoring and Engagement:

  • Monitor and analyze user interactions and trends.
  • Engage with followers on social platforms.
  • Conduct social media community management.
  • Monitor daily media reports and highlight noteworthy items.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing campaigns.

Website and SEO Management:

  • Assist in updating the IGFA WordPress website.
  • Update and create web pages.
  • Increase SEO and refine Google AdWords.

Project Management:

  • Use scheduling software (Wrike preferred) to plan, schedule, and monitor marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with departments to ensure timely delivery of materials.

Team Collaboration:

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure seamless execution of marketing strategies.
  • Act as a central point of communication for marketing projects.

Educational Requirements:

BS or BA degree in marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.

Experience and Skills:

  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing, project management, or a related role.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing strategies and tools (Canva and similar tools).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (Wrike preferred) and content management systems (WordPress).
  • Familiar with print media design and web-based media design.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative suite tools including Photoshop and InDesign.
  • Experience with email/SMS marketing platforms and social media management tools (Sprout preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience in the recreational fishing industry is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Hybrid, in-office/remote position available as long as the candidate is within driving distance of IGFA.
