Bob Lowe, an IGFA Representative for more than 10 years, has been instrumental in obtaining a “recreation only” rule for blue and black marlin in Australian waters, and in changing the management plan that would have devastated the Great Barrier Reef’s marlin fishery. For the last six years he has run the Lizard Island Tournament--the premier tournament for black marlin-- well-known for its conservation ethic.
