Wheaton’s Salmon Fantasy Slam
IGFA Representative Chris Wheaton of California recently returned from Sitka, Alaska, as the most recent member of the IGFA Salmon Fantasy and Grand Slam Clubs. On August 28, 2019, Wheaton completed the Salmon Grand Slam on the fly catching a Chinook, coho and pink salmon. Three days later, on September 1, 2019, he completed the Salmon Fantasy Slam on conventional tackle after landing a Chinook, coho, pink, sockeye and chum salmon all in the same day. Congratulations, Chris, on some awesome catches and your two new slams!
Cividini’s Inshore Grand Slam
On October 20, 2019, Alessandro Cividini caught a bonefish, permit and tarpon to join the IGFA Inshore GrandSslam club. He earned his first official IGFA Grand Slam fishing the famed flats of Cayo Cruz, Cuba. Congratulations, Alessandro on some spectacular fish and your Inshore Grand Slam!
Al Maadeed’s Offshore Grand Slam
Nawaf Sultan Al Maadeed recently became the newest member of the IGFA Offshore Grand Slam Club after he landed a yellowfin tuna, wahoo, and dolphinfish in the same day. On November 24, 2019, Nawaf was fishing in the Seychelles and hooked up on a yellowfin and wahoo on lures, followed by the mahi on a bonito strip. Congratulations Nawaf, on a great day of fishing offshore!
