Lami’s Trout Super Grand Slam
Robert Lami had a day to remember on July 1, 2021, while trout fishing in Paradise Valley, Montana, where he captured an IGFA Trout Super Grand Slam on fly. After landing a rainbow trout on a prince nymph in Big Creek, Robert traveled to three separate streams to land his brown, brook, and cutthroat trout – catching and releasing four different trout species in one day. Congratulations Robert and good luck on your future trout fishing adventures!
Peardon’s Inshore Grand Slam
Lorenzo Peardon had an exceptional day of fishing on a recent trip to Tropic Star Lodge in Pinas Bay, Panama. On June 16, 2021, Lorenzo accomplished an IGFA Inshore Grand Slam with an interesting cast of characters now made possible through the recent expansion of the IGFA’s Inshore Grand Slam eligible species! Lorenzo achieved his Inshore Grand Slam with a roosterfish, bluefin trevally, and a Pacific cubera snapper. As 2019, the species available for an IGFA Inshore Grand Slam are as follows, bonefish (Atlantic and Pacific), snook (Atlantic and Pacific), cubera snapper (Atlantic and Pacific), snubnose pompano, giant trevally, roosterfish, bluefin trevally, and milkfish. Lorenzo was slow trolling live bait when he landed the slam. Congratulations Lorenzo, on a great accomplishment!
