Melissa Pierce’s Inshore Grand Slam
On September 28, 2021, Dominic Robert Jackson had a day of fishing he’ll never forget. He was wading the flats of Grand Cayman Island when he landed this bonefish. Shortly thereafter, Dominic had a shot at a permit and capitalized with a well-presented crab pattern fly. With two of the three species of his Grand Slam accounted for, Dominic called to IGFA headquarters inquiring about a potential slam opportunity, and whether he could move locations. After confirming that he could catch his slam from multiple locations, Dominic made a short move and released a small tarpon to earn the IGFA Inshore Grand Slam on fly. Congratulations Dominic, on hopefully the first of many!
Chris Adams' Inshore Grand Slam
Captain Chris Adams, who has guided anglers to multiple IGFA World Records in Biscayne Bay, recently submitted an application of his own for an IGFA Inshore Grand Slam. On August 30, 2020, Chris started off the morning with a tarpon and a permit. He then set off for a shallow flat where he was able to release this nice bonefish, earning him the slam. Congratulations Captain Chris on an amazing accomplishment!
Samuel Andrews' Trophy Striped Bass
Samuel Andrews became the newest member of the IGFA Trophy Striped Bass Club with this beautiful 50-inch striper that he landed on October 30, 2021, while surfcasting in Nova Scotia. The fish ate a popper and was landed after a short fight. Samuel released the trophy striper after a quick measurement and some photos. Congratulations Samuel on an amazing fish!
