Paul Duenas' Trout Fantasy Slam on Fly
On September 15, 2023, Paul Duenas accomplished an incredible feat, landing an IGFA Trout Fantasy Slam on fly! Paul started his day high up in the Sierra National Forest in California, US, where he landed a beautiful golden trout. He then traveled to Rock Creek where he landed a brook, brown and rainbow trout. With four species under his belt Paul then set off in search of a cutthroat trout to complete his fantasy slam. He did just that in the last hour of daylight landing a cutthroat in Wolf Creek to cap off an amazing day. Congratulations, Paul on an incredible accomplishment!
Tye Griffith's Inshore Grand Slam
On September 24, 2023, Tye Griffith was fishing with Capt. Ethan Kiburz in Big Pine Key, Florida, US, when he landed an IGFA Inshore Grand Slam. The duo started the day in the backcountry landing a tarpon on fly. They then traveled to the flats where Tye was able to fool a bonefish on the fly. Tye then completed his IGFA Inshore Grand Slam by landing this beautiful permit after the fish struck a live crab. Congratulations, Tye on an amazing accomplishment!
