On January 21, 1995, Elizabeth Hogan set the IGFA Women’s 3-kg (6 lb) Line Class World Record for African pompano with this beautiful fish. Elizabeth caught the 12.7-kilogram (28-pound) AP while fishing off Miami Beach, Florida. The fish ate a live pilchard and took 30 minutes to get to the boat. On February 24, 1996, George Hogan Jr. set the IGFA Men’s 2-kg (4 lb) Line Class World Record for red drum with this impressive fish. George was fishing in the Indian River Lagoon in Florida, when he landed this 23.74-kilogram (52-pound, 5-ounce) redfish on light line.
