Josh Dolin recently submitted this impressive 1.62-kilogram (3-pound, 9-ounce) fallfish to potentially set the IGFA All-Tackle World Record for the species. Josh was fishing in Williamsville, Virginia when this massive fallfish struck a spoon. After landing the potential record he then took the fish to Dance’s Sporting Goods for an official weight on a certified scale. This record is currently pending and under review.

The IGFA is happy to share that Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo announced the 2022 Regional Fishery Management Council appointments yesterday. We would like to commend Secretary Raimondo on the well-qualified appointments and congratulate IGFA Representative and Chairman of the IGFA’s North America Council’s Conservation Committee Dr. Ken Neill in his appointment to the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council. Dr. Neill is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced in federal and state fisheries management and is a passionate recreational angler. We are very pleased to have Dr. Neill’s participation in future policy decisions and we are looking forward to the progress that will be made by all the new appointees in years to come.
