Sustainably Caught Seafood a Win-Win

Sustainably caught seafood is always the best option for consumers.  For the last several years, the IGFA has been working with other recreational fishing organizations to stop the use of drift gill nets in the California swordfish fishery and replace them with deep-set buoy gear. This creates a win-win situation as this method greatly reduces bycatch and as this study reports, increases the quality of the commercially caught swordfish that fetches a higher price with consumers.
