Walker's Cay Delivers World-Class Fishing and Hospitality

Another incredible Walker's Cay Shootout in the books! Blue and white marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and more kept the teams busy throughout the tournament. 

Team Kateric (left below) captured the 2026 IGFA Walker’s Cay Shootout title with an impressive 1,000 points, earning first place overall after a consistent tournament performance. Teams Goose (middle) and Marlin Darlin (right) rounded out the podium with second and third-place finishes, respectively. 

Beyond the competition, the tournament once again highlighted the unique spirit of Walker’s Cay. The combination of breathtaking Bahamian scenery, friendly competition and exceptional hospitality created an atmosphere where anglers, crews and families could enjoy every moment both on and off the water. As a 100% billfish release event supporting the IGFA’s conservation and education programs, the Shootout also continued to showcase the importance of responsible angling and billfish conservation for future generations.
