Seychelles Sports Fishing Club was started by local sports fishing enthusiasts and has now grown to over 400 members. SSFC is the hub for the Seychelles fishing scene. SSFC organizes fishing tournaments throughout the year. Most of the tournaments are held at Marine Charter Association. MCA is located on the waterfront in downtown Victoria. Marine Charter Association is the only Official IGFA Weigh Station in Seychelles that is fully accessible to the public.
Targeted Species: black and blue marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, kingfish, dogtooth tuna, rainbow runner, giant trevally and over 25 different bottom fish species.

Bonthe Holiday Village is the camp with access to the Sherbro Estuary, home of many record tarpon catches (the latest in June 2010). Giant barracuda jack and grouper can also be caught in the estuary, and marlin, sailfish and tuna on the continental shelf 12 miles out. The camp is luxurious with good food, a well stocked bar and a swimming pool. A 27' and a 21' SeaPro, two 17' Boston Whalers and several skiffs are available. It is remote and reached by air or boat (3 hours) from Freetown.

Dar es Salaam Yacht Club has a long history of fishing, a few dogtooth records are still holding here. There is an active fleet of boats going out game fishing for king mackerels, wahoos, dorados, GTs, swordfish, sailfish, black marlin and, of course, dogtooth tuna.
