Kilpatrick's Inshore Grand Slam
On July 31, 2020, Gerry Kilpatrick hit the flats with his brother and renowned Keys guide, Doug Kilpatrick, and scored a nice IGFA Grand Slam on the fly. He caught the permit and bonefish in Key West, Florida, on a spawning shrimp fly and followed those catches up with a tarpon in Sugarloaf Key! Congratulations, Gerry, on a great day of fly fishing in the keys!
Limroth's Inshore Grand Slam
Jack Limroth just passed his dad for his 7th IGFA Inshore Slam. Between June 15th and June 17th, Jack caught two IGFA Super Grand Slams and two Grand Slams while fishing Islamorada, Florida. Both Super Grand Slams consisted of Tarpon, Snook, Permit and Bonefish. Congratulations, Jack, on an awesome trip to Islamorada!
Hallberg's Bass Grand Slam
Mason Hallberg recently completed his first IGFA Bass Grand Slam with a largemouth and smallmouth bass caught in Orange, Virginia, followed by a striped bass caught in King George, VA. The largemouth struck a topwater frog, the smallmouth hit a swimbait, and the striper a squarebill crankbait! He was ever so close to the IGFA Super Grand Slam but a rock bass slipped away right at the last second!
