Harris' Largemouth Bass

Angler Sarah Elizabeth Harris recently set the new IGFA Women’s 3-kg (6-lb) Line Class World Record for largemouth bass with this impressive 3.23-kilogram (7-pound, 2-ounce) fish that she caught on October 24, 2022, while fishing Lake Baccarac, Mexico. Harris was fishing with her partner Joshua Daniels and played the fish for 20 minutes after it hit the wacky rigged worm she was fishing. After quickly weighing and documenting the fish from shore, Harris released the fish safely back into the lake. Congratulations, Sarah on a great catch!

Elleson's Black Drum

Jacob Elleson recently submitted this impressive 91-centimeter black drum to set the IGFA All-Tackle Length Fly World Record for the species. Jacob was fishing in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA, on September 13, 2022, with guide Eric Pelno when this black drum struck his fly. After a short fight around some structure, he was able to boat this record drum. Jacob then recorded the proper measurements on his official IGFA Measuring Device before releasing the fish safely. Congratulations, Jake on an impressive record!

 

Daniels' Tiger Musky

On August 7, 2022, Joshua Daniels landed this beautiful 100-centimeter tiger muskellunge to set the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record for the species. Daniels was fishing the Bluewater Reservoir in New Mexico, US, when this fish struck the swimbait he was casting. After a quick fight, Daniels landed the fish and recorded the necessary documentation before releasing the fish back into the water. Congratulations, Josh on a beautiful tiger muskie!

Triana's Pacific Bonefish

On September 5, 2022, Dennis Triana landed this beautiful 62-centimeter Pacific bonefish to set the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record for the species. Dennis was fishing with Captain Chris Wright on the flats of Honolulu, Hawaii, USA, when this bonefish ate his live crab. After an intense five-minute battle, Dennis landed the record bonefish. After recording the proper measurements on his official IGFA Measuring Device, he released the fish safely. Congratulations, Dennis and Chris on an amazing record!

 

Snyder's Northern Pike

Ray Snyder was fishing Wollaston Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada, on August 3, 2022, when he landed this impressive 106-centimeter northern pike on fly. With this fish, Ray set the IGFA All-Tackle Length Fly World Record for the species. Snyder was fishing with guide Andrew Marr when he landed this record northern on a Black Bunny fly. Congratulations, Ray on a phenomenal trip!

 

Okuyama’s Grass Carp

Fumiya Okuyama, who currently holds several IGFA World Records, has added another to his angling resume with this impressive 20.15-kilogram (44-pound, 6-ounce) grass carp that has earned him the IGFA Men’s 4-kg (8-lb) Tippet Class World Record for the species. Okuyama was fishing in Motoarakawa, Japan, when this grass carp struck his dry fly. Following a 20-minute fight, Fumiya netted the record fish, weighed it on his certified scale, and released the fish safely. Congratulations, Fumiya on another incredible record!
