IGFA's 42nd International Auction Sets All-Time Record for Game Fish Conservation

Once a year, the sportfishing world comes home. Old friends reunite, legends share a glass of Flor de Caña Rum and a community of people who love this sport raise their paddles to protect it. The annual IGFA International Auction isn't just a fundraiser — it's the night the sportfishing community from around the globe comes together at The Ritz-Carlton Fort Lauderdale to fuel the conservation, education, and advocacy that keep sportfishing alive for the next generation. From tons of gear from our amazing corporate partners, to trips ranging from the Amazon to Alaska, the Galápagos to the Great Barrier Reef, this auction was our biggest yet!

The 42nd IGFA International Auction set a record, making it the most significant fundraising night in IGFA history. Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our IGFA community, this historic, record-breaking event will fuel critical work in game fish research and conservation, youth angling education, and the future of the sport we all cherish.

“This record-breaking night is a powerful testament to the passion and generosity of the global angling community,” said IGFA President Jason Schratwieser. “We are overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible show of support that made this event our most successful yet.”

“The 42nd IGFA International Auction highlights what is possible when anglers unite behind our sport,” said IGFA Chairman Roy Cronacher. “This historic support will drive meaningful progress across conservation, education, and angler stewardship worldwide.”

To everyone who participated, bid, and supported the auction in any way — thank you for helping write this chapter in IGFA history! A special thanks goes out to Debra Todd Photography for capturing some of the night's most awesome moments!

Mark your calendars for the 43rd Annual IGFA International Auction, scheduled for January 23, 2027, in Fort Lauderdale. Join us as we continue to build on this momentum and work together to ensure a sustainable future for game fish and recreational angling worldwide.
