Tenaka's All-Tackle Length World Record Whiterock Bass
On May 29, 2022, Ken Tenaka landed this beautiful 62-centimeter whiterock bass to set the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record on fly. Ken was fishing with guide Jason McReynolds on the South Holston River in Johnson City, Tennessee, USA, when this fish struck his fly. After landing the beautiful bass, Ken was able to record the proper measurements on his official IGFA measuring device. The duo then released the bass safely back into the river. Tenaka and McReynolds believe that a 10-pound whiterock is currently swimming in the South Holston and plan on chasing after the IGFA Men’s 10-kg (20-lb)
Hanzlik's Women’s 3-kg (6-lb) Tippet Class World Record Snakehead
Emily Rose Hanzlik, who currently holds four IGFA Women’s Line Class Records for snakehead, now holds the IGFA Women’s 3-kg (6-lb) Tippet Class World Record as well. On April 12, 2022, Emily was fishing a Local Drainage Canal in Wellington, Florida, USA, when this 2.44-kilogram (5-pound, 6-ounce) snakehead struck her fly. Not only did Emily set this amazing record, but she has another snakehead pending for the IGFA Women’s 2-kg (4-lb) Tippet Class World Record as well. Grasso's All-Tackle Length Fly Rod Queenfish World Record
On April 2, 2022, Aussie angler Chantelle Grasso landed this 72-centimeter talang queenfish to set the new IGFA All-Tackle Length Fly World Record for the species. Chantelle was fishing in Point Samson, Australia, aboard her family boat Micx, when the queenfish struck her fly. After a seven-minute battle, she landed the record fish, and quickly released it after taking the necessary measurements and documentation. Triana's All Tackle Length Yelloweye Rockfish World Record
IGFA Representative Dennis Triana landed this 70-centimeter yelloweye rockfish on May 20, 2022, setting the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record for the species. Dennis was fishing out of Seward, Alaska, USA, with Captain Bryson Gilbert when this record fish struck the herring he was using for bait. After an eight-minute fight he was able to boat this beautiful rockfish, which he quickly measured, photographed, and released alive. On this trip Dennis also set IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record for Pacific cod. Congratulations, Dennis on another amazing trip!
Moss's All-Tackle Length Fly Fishing World Record for Arctic Char
Pamela Moss recently returned from a trip to Iceland with a handful of IGFA World Record applications. On May 18, 2022, Pamela was fishing in Langanes, Iceland, when this beautiful Arctic char struck her fly. After a 10-minute fight she landed the fish, recorded the proper documentation, and released the fish safely. Pamela’s char measured out at 55 centimeters and earned her the IGFA All-Tackle Length World Record on fly. Congratulations, Pamela on a beautiful fish!
Hall's Women’s 2-kg (4-lb) Line Class World Record Brook Trout World Record
Alexandra Hall, who currently holds the IGFA Women’s 2-kg (4-lb) Line Class World Record for brook trout, has set yet another IGFA Line Class World Record for the species. On April 13, 2022, she landed this impressive 1.67-kilogram (3-pound, 11-ounce) brook trout to set the IGFA Women’s 1-kg (2-lb) Line Class World Record for the species. Alexandra was fishing North Creek in Buchanan, Virginia, US, when this fish struck the crappie lure she was fishing. After recording the weight on a certified scale and snapping a few photos, she released the record brookie safely. Congratulations, Alexandra on another IGFA World Record!
