Thompson’s Cobia

On October 4, 2025, Ava Thompson was fishing out of Islamorada, Florida, when she landed this 15.42-kilogram (34-pound) cobia. With this fish, Ava has set the IGFA Junior Women’s 15-kg (30 lb) Line Class World Record for the species. She was fishing with Captain Danny Lombardo aboard "Tunnel Vision" when this record cobia struck a live bait.

Harris' Largemouth Bass

Sarah Harris was fishing Lake Baccarac, Mexico, on October 25, 2025, when she landed this 4.20-kilogram (9-pound, 4-ounce) largemouth bass. With this fish, Sarah has set the IGFA Women’s 3-kg (6 lb) Line Class World Record for the species. The record bass struck a jig and was landed after a short fight. Sarah then recorded the weight on her certified scale before releasing the fish safely.

Bernstein’s Smallmouth Buffalo

On November 29, 2025, Julia Bernstien was fishing Walter E. Long Lake in Austin, Texas, when she landed this impressive 14.29-kilogram (31-pound, 8-ounce) smallmouth buffalo. With this fish, Julia has set the IGFA Junior Women’s 8-kg (16 lb) Line Class World Record for the species. She was fishing with guide Austin Anderson when this record buffalo struck her bait. After landing the fish, she recorded an official weight on a certified scale before releasing the fish safely.

Grasso’s Golden Trevally

Mia Grasso was fishing at Point Samson, Australia, on September 29, 2025, when she landed this 9.14-kilogram (20-pound, 2-ounce) golden trevally. With this fish, Mia has set both the IGFA Women’s 10-kg (20lb) Line Class and IGFA Junior Women’s 10-kg (20lb) Line Class World Records for the species. The record fish struck a metal jig and was landed after a 10-minute fight. Mia then returned home for an official weight on a certified scale.

 

Moss’ Landlocked Striped Bass

On December 5, 2025, Pamela Moss was fishing Lake Lanier in Georgia when she landed this 4.53-kilogram (10-pound) landlocked striped bass. With this fish, Pamela has set the IGFA Women’s 3-kg (6lb) Tippet Class World Record for the species. The record bass struck a shad fly and was landed after a short flight. After recording the weight on her certified scale, she was able to release the fish safely.
