Choate’s Billfish Grand Slam

The IGFA Grand Slam Clubs recognize the exceptional achievement of catching a specific group of game fish species within a single calendar day. Under IGFA International Angling Rules, a "Grand Slam" is achieved when an angler catches at least three eligible species within a designated category, such as the following billfish species: Atlantic blue marlin, Pacific blue marlin, black marlin, white marlin, striped marlin, Atlantic sailfish, Pacific sailfish, swordfish, or spearfish.
