Tom Pfleger

For 33 years Tom Pfleger has been successfully pursuing both freshwater and saltwater game fish on light tackle and fly gear, setting an impressive 22 world records along the way on species such as Pacific bluefin tuna, white seabass, albacore, lake trout, Pacific cubera snapper, and California yellowtail. Tom’s first world record came in April of 1988 when he caught a 15 pound Pacific cubera snapper on 12 pound line while fishing off Baja, Mexico. Three decades later, he continues his pursuit of big game on light tackle, with his most recent record coming on August 17, 2017 in the form of a 130 lb 1 oz Pacific bluefin tuna on 12 pound line
