Roaring Fork Valley Fly Fishing Club and Roaring Fork Conservancy

The Roaring Fork Valley Fly Fishing Club is a group of anglers interested in promoting the sport of fly fishing through community events. These events include working with Wounded Warriors, where more than 500 veterans have participated in programs such as the National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, held annually in the spring.  Events also include Youth Fly Fishing Clinics in conjunction with the Roaring Fork Conservancy and Taylor Creek Fly Shops. During these introductory clinics, young anglers receive complete casting instruction, gear education, knot tying, proper fish handling and catch and release, and of course, fish!

The IGFA is working more with the Roaring Fork Conservancy to train staff on fly fishing education and create videos for the Fly Fishing Basics course and other online curricula.
