Director of Fisheries Research for Infinity

Shannon has been working in fish and wildlife conservation for over 17 years. She conducts natural and social science research that seeks to understand how we interact with the world around us and how we can make our activities in nature sustainable. She uses approaches that are community-led and community-driven, with emphasis on co-creation, social-ecological systems analysis, and partnerships. This work has taken her to many countries around the world, including northern Canada, offering insights into the important role cultural systems and beliefs play in our relationships with the world and the solutions we create to solve our problems.
