This excellent tackle shop is in the southern city of Lobito, which is a very popular site for anglers from all over the country. The manager decided to have a portable IGFA certified scale available to weigh fish in the area. Species that can be weighed include Offshore billfish: Atlantic sailfish (many world records as Angola is THE place for big Atlantic sailfish), blue marlin and in Lobito there are also white marlin. Offshore species include dorado, tuna and occasionally wahoo. Inshore species include tarpon, jack crevalle (many world records), Guinean barracuda (many world records), giant African threadfin(many world records), meagre, croakers, amberjack and groupers.

Rodrigues is one of the best multi-fishing destinations with trolling, baiting, jigging, slow jigging…all over the island, the Eastern Bank (50 nm from Rodrigues) or Hawkins Bank (85 nm from Rodrigues). Seychelles Sports Fishing Club was started by local sports fishing enthusiasts and has now grown to over 400 members. SSFC is the hub for the Seychelles fishing scene. SSFC organizes fishing tournaments throughout the year. Most of the tournaments are held at Marine Charter Association. MCA is located on the waterfront in downtown Victoria. Marine Charter Association is the only Official IGFA Weigh Station in Seychelles that is fully accessible to the public. Targeted Species: black and blue marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, dorado, kingfish, dogtooth tuna, rainbow runner, giant trevally and over 25 different bottom fish species.
