International Angling Day

The IGFA to host a two-week celebration of angling in honor of its founding day of June 7th – International Angling Day.
International Angling Day is a global celebration of recreational fishing, dedicated to the anglers and the game fish that make this sport so special. International Angling Day was created by the IGFA to bring anglers from around the world together around our shared interest of recreational sport fishing.
In celebration of International Angling Day 2020, we are asking anglers to share their favorite catches and fishing stories with us on social media starting on June 1, 2020 through June 14, 2020 to depict the theme of “Fishing Around the World”, and we need your help to spread the word!
We are asking all IGFA Members to please participate in this global event and help celebrate the sport we love and the IGFA. Post your favorite catch along with the hashtag #igfaday2020 and a story about why it was special to you. You may just have your catch be featured in the International Angling Day 2020 “Fishing Around the World” photo gallery!
