Brockenbrough’s Inshore Grand Slam

 

On May 8, 2024, Austin Brockenbrough IV was fishing in Cayo Largo, Cuba, when he landed a permit, tarpon, and Atlantic bonefish. He was fishing with Travis Lucas, who guided him to this Inshore Grand Slam on Fly. Congratulations on this achievement, Austin!

Clare’s Trophy Speckled Peacock and Roosterfish Clubs

IGFA Representative and Captain, Horacio A. Clare III, has achieved his fifth Trophy Speckled Peacock with a fish weighing 10.9 kg (24 lb 2 oz). He landed this peacock on the fly in Rio Pasimoni, Venezuela, on January 19, 2026. Horacio also added his first Trophy Roosterfish with a 25.4 kg (56 lb 0 oz) fish caught off Pearl Island, Panama, back on May 12, 2021. Congratulations, Horacio!

To qualify for an IGFA Trophy Club, the fish must meet either the required length or weight; in this case, speckled peacock bass must be 9.1 kg (20 lb) or 86 cm (33.9 in); roosterfish, 22.7 kg (50 lb) or 127 cm (50 in).
