McAuley’s Inshore Grand Slam

Jody McAuley traveled to Belize late last month and had an amazing day on the water. While fly fishing the flats of San Pedro on April 26, 2025, Jody landed a tarpon, a bonefish, and a permit. With this incredible day of fishing, Jody earned himself a highly coveted IGFA Inshore Grand Slam on fly. Congratulations Jody!

The IGFA’s Grand Slam Clubs honor the outstanding accomplishment of catching a collection of different game fish species within a single day. A “Grand Slam” is defined by an individual angler catching at least three of the eligible species within a category (see link), per IGFA International Angling Rules. All catches must be made within one calendar day, and all past and present catches are eligible, provided they are properly documented. Baia’s Inshore Super Grand Slam

Andrea Baia had an unbelievable day fly fishing the Turneffe Flats of Belize with guide Mark Hyde on May 8, 2025. Andrea was able to land a permit, tarpon, and snook on fly before fooling a cubera snapper on a shrimp fly. With this incredible day, Andrea has become the first angler to include a cubera snapper in an IGFA Inshore Super Grand Slam on fly. What an incredible achievement, congratulations, Andrea!
