The IGFA Master Angler

The IGFA Master Angler Program is designed to recognize a lifetime of angling achievement, honoring not just individual moments on the water, but a sustained commitment to the sport.
Organized into three tiers, Bronze, Silver, and Gold, the program measures progress across seven distinct categories that reflect the full spectrum of IGFA angling accomplishment. These categories include IGFA World Record achievements, Grand Slam, Royal Slam and Trophy Fish Clubs. As anglers advance through each tier accumulating achievements in the seven available categories, they will receive corresponding certificates from the IGFA that marks their progression.
The program is designed to be cumulative, allowing anglers to build on their achievements year after year, ultimately creating a comprehensive record of their angling journey.
The highest honor, the IGFA Master Angler Award, is reserved for those who complete the program at the Gold tier across five of the seven available categories, an elite distinction that represents one of the most complete and respected achievements in the sport of fishing.
