Rebecca Depole's Salmon Royal Slam
Rebecca DePole recently became the eighth individual to join the IGFA Salmon Royal Slam Club on Fly Tackle. Rebecca started the journey in Chile in February of 2020, when she landed a coho salmon. She then earned an IGFA Salmon Grand Slam on July 26, 2021, while fishing the Ungalikthluk River in Alaska, US, where she landed sockeye, pink, and chum salmon. While on the same trip she also landed a Chinook salmon just a few days after her grand slam. Rebecca completed her IGFA Salmon Royal Slam this past August when she landed a beautiful Atlantic salmon in Iceland. Congratulations, Rebecca on an incredible accomplishment!
Sancier's Inshore Grand Slam
Olivier Sancier was fishing the flats of Guadeloupe on December 8, 2022, when he landed his first IGFA Inshore Grand Slam on fly tackle. Olivier was fishing with IGFA Captain Julien Audonnet when he hooked into an impressive bonefish while wading. He followed up his bonefish with a quality tarpon on a baitfish imitation fly, and then capped off the day with a snook to complete his IGFA Inshore Grand Slam. Olivier’s slam is the second IGFA Inshore Grand Slam landed on the island of Guadeloupe in the past year. Congratulations, to both Olivier and Julien on the accomplishment!
