Fox’s Trophy White Seabass Club

Meghan Fox was fishing out of San Francisco, California, on August 17, 2026, when she landed this impressive 28.9-kilogram (63-pound, 7-ounce) white seabass. With this fish, she has entered the IGFA Trophy White Sea Bass Club. 

To qualify for an IGFA Trophy Club, the fish must meet either the required length or weight; in this case, white seabass must weigh at least 27.2 kg (60 lb) or measure 140 cm (55.1 in). You can learn more about IGFA Trophy Clubs, including how to apply, by clicking here. 

 

 

Morse’s South American Royal Slam

Landing a trahira on August 15, 2026, Shawn Morse has completed his IGFA South American Royal Slam, landing an arawana, dorado, payara, peacock, redtail catfish (pirarara), sorubim, and trahira. The International Game Fish Association launched the South American Royal Slam in early 2026, celebrating the continent's diverse freshwater game fish by challenging anglers to catch seven specific native species within South America. Participating catches earn global recognition and count toward lifetime achievements including the new IGFA Master Angler Program.
